About Me
I am a dedicated Sports Development Professional with extensive experience in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. I take pride in my ability to design and implement large-scale programmes that create tangible social impact. With a proven track record in managing multi-faceted initiatives, I excel in developing strategic frameworks, overseeing funding distribution, and leading diverse teams to deliver measurable results. My career has allowed me to build long-term relationships with key partners, including National Governing Bodies, local authorities, and community organisations, fostering collaborative networks that drive sustainable change.
Passionate about creating inclusive environments where individuals can thrive, I am committed to using my skills and experience to empower others and influence positive change. I am actively seeking new opportunities to apply my expertise in programme leadership and management, delivering high-impact projects that make a lasting difference.

Current Employment
British Cycling - National Disability Manager
As National Disability Manager at British Cycling, I am the strategic lead and subject matter expert for disability and para-cycling, driving initiatives that increase participation and break down barriers for disabled people. My role spans both recreational cycling and the para-cycling talent pathway, ensuring accessible opportunities at every level.
I lead the design and implementation of a business-wide Disability and Para-Cycling Framework that embeds inclusion across all areas of British Cycling. This involves developing innovative programmes and products that increase participation, influencing colleagues to integrate inclusive practices into their work, and fostering collaborative partnerships with external organisations to enhance and expand opportunities for disabled cyclists.
I also project manage Limitless—British Cycling’s flagship inclusive cycling programme. Since its launch in February 2023, Limitless has already made a significant impact, empowering thousands of disabled people to experience the joy of cycling. Read on to learn more about its success.
Previous Experience
September 2016 - July 2022
Head of Swimming and Aquatics - King's College, Taunton
As Head of Swimming and Aquatics I
restructured and revolutionised the school swimming programme, by providing an open and accessible environment for any pupil to participate. Opportunities included, water polo, scuba, wild swimming, lifesaving, FloatFit and synchro.
I coached a three tier training programme. Sessions were athlete focussed, progressive and most importantly - fun! My swim team had depth was diverse and they won!
King's College Swimming experienced some of greatest successes in decades under my coaching and leadership.
Additionally, I worked to ensure the facility was accessible to the local community, by building sustainable relationships with local schools and clubs to facilitate a range of opportunities.
I also built a highly successful swimming lesson business model. The King's Community Swimming Programme had over 300 members, and generates over £50,000 per annum.
September 2018 - December 2021
Houseparent / Deputy Houseparent - King's College, Taunton
As Houseparent, I managed a boarding house of 51 girls. I created a safe, nurturing and trusting environment for all pupils to feel included, could thrive and flourish.
With energy and enthusiasm, I demonstrated core values of respect, independence and determination – preparing the girls for life beyond school.
I created a culture of trust and integrity by taking the time to listen and understand the needs of all the girls in the boarding house.
Social development was exceptionally important in the boarding house and each year, I facilitated a calendar of events, including trips and activities, to provide opportunities for girls to have fun, make friends, and gain new experiences.
January 2015 - May 2016
Strategic Relationship Manager - British Blind Sport
My role was to manage the Inclusive Sport Project and Sport Development Team with our overall aim to increase participation. I established formal Partnership Agreements with 17 different organisations; created a network of local visually impaired sports forums; wrote highly successful funding bids, including obtaining £38,000 from a national heritage charity; wrote and published a series of educational resources to help upskill sports coaches.
April 2013 - December 2014
Disability Swimming Talent Officer - Amateur Swimming Association
My role involved building sustainable pathways for young talented disabled swimmers to excel. I achieved this with substantial club development work - I instigated a network of Paraswimming Hub Clubs - and a programme of coach education. I also worked closely, mentoring individual athletes, ensuring they had access to all the essential elements required to achieve their goals. I worked collaboratively with the World Class Programme team, ensuring a seamless pathway and smooth transition into the Performance Programmes. Each year I would exceed KPIs for athlete progression.
April 2008 - March 2013
Playground to Podium Officer - Amateur Swimming Association
The main focus of my role was to implement the National Talent Identification Framework - Playground to Podium, with the ultimate aim to find potential athletes to compete for ParalympicsGB at London 2012. In three years I assessed 630 athletes through the successful organisation and delivery of County Athlete Assessment Days. I upskilled coaches by hosting CPD workshops and my work creating accessible clubs and raising the profile of disability swimming, dramatically changed the landscape of disability swimming.
March 2008 - March 2009
Sussex Swimming Development Officer - Freedom Leisure
This was a partnership post, funded between the local leisure provider, the County Sports Partnership and the County ASA. It was my job to improve the provisions of aquatics across Sussex, through the implementation of sub-regional development strategies. I worked extremely closely with local clubs, getting to know coaches and committees and supporting them to achieve their clubmark accreditation. By creative bid writing, I was successful in obtaining £15,000 Sportivate Funding, which helped local clubs establish new opportunities to start up water polo, synchronised swimming and diving.
Proudest Achievements
I am proud of my career to date. I have been fortunate to work in and learn from many different environments, all of which make me the person I am today. There are however, some key success which I am especially proud of.
